What I did this Week: back to the daily grind

That clichéd title was born from a lack of other ways to say what it was that I did do this week. For that I truly apologize.

Sunday morning, I woke up a pushed some orange cinnamon rolls into the oven. I liked them, but my brothers did not, so whether I make them again or not is yet to be seen.

Then, on Sunday  afternoon, I started George Orwell's 1984. I really did not like it, and I am thinking about recording a vlog so I can ramble about it in a way that is impossible to do while writing.

Tuesday, my best friend and I got together, and she gave me the most wonderful birthday present:
a storm-trooper helmet bank.

Wednesday morning, I helped start a fire.

Friday, I made a beautiful bone-in roast. You know the kind: perfectly medium, falling off the bone, so tender you can cut it with a fork, and seasoned so you taste the meat in all its glory. Okay, maybe is was a little underdone. All the same, there was nothing left but the bone.

Today, after receiving numerous emails from Dominos advertising the cookie-marble brownie, I attempted to make one. It was not the best, but I am definitely going to try and make it again.

And so went my week!

What I did this Week: Hello 2015!

This past week has been a busy one. Before they left, I spent a lot of time with my cousins. Some of the pictures in this post are from the 27th of December, which was last week. But they were funny so I decided to put them in. Like this one of me singing, "Let It Go." Brothers are always there to make sure not one embarrassing moment of life is missed.

Here's my partner in crime and I.

Sunday evening, my cousins and I made oreo balls which you can read about here.

Then Monday evening, I made chicken noodle soup.

New Year's Eve, we had a great big salad.

And popped fireworks and played with sparklers.

New Year's Day I looked like this.

Yesterday, the weather was this miserable fog. It looked cool though.

I also made a friend yesterday.

And today the sun is shining! (Cue the Hallelujah chorus).

  That was my week!

New Years Eve

Before Christmas, I had wonderful aspirations for my blogging schedule. But then all of my cousins came into town for about a week, so between breakfasts and sleepovers and Christmas and movies, I ran out of time to write. And this post is just going to be pictures from last night. But here's to 2015, and I must be old now because I cannot believe it is here just yet.

Season's First Fire

Last night my Dad built the season's first fire in the fire place. To be honest though, this is the second fire of the season that my brother built this morning.

Setting Things On Fire...

Today I went to Wal-mart to run some errands and came back home to find my brothers using burnt motor oil to set a couple tree stumps on fire. All my brothers have the potential to be pyromaniacs, but one of their chores is to burn tree trimmings and old stumps so their desire for fire is fulfilled. Life in the semi-country is exciting . This is my life, and by God's grace I haven't been burned.
